Bismillah-hir Rahman-nir Raheem (in the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful)
There is one thing that Islam has done that no other religion before has done and that is to preserve and to present the true stories of the Prophets (peace be upon them all) that have been sent to guide mankind by Allah. The real stories of the Prophets are contained within Qur’an and Hadith and dispel some of the distortions that are carried in Judaism and Christianity. But more so, Islam focuses on the learning points. The stories of the Prophets are not entertainment nor tales to tell our kids – they are real lessons for humanity because our human nature has not changed and we will fall into the same mistakes as those generations that have preceded us.
There are many civilisations that came before the modern world. The people of Nuh (as) (Noah), the people of Ibrahim (as) (Abraham), the people of Ad and Thamud, and many more – each one of these peoples weren’t saved by their ‘civilised’ ways; some were punished by Allah – a severe punishment – because of their disobedience and rejection of Guidance from Allah. We need to ask ourselves if we are falling into committing the same sins as our forefathers.

I will insha’Allah start to post some snippets of the Stories of the Prophets as written by the renowned scholar (masha’Allah), Ibn Kathir and translated by Sheikh Muhammad Mustafa Geme’ah (Office of the Grand Imam, Sheikh Al-Azhar). I hope you will find them beneficial, insha’Allah.
Stand Up 4 Islam!
